| Randall has been writing, performing and producing original rock music since 1974. He achieved notoriety with Orange Hearts, who were a popular tri-state band from 1983-1987. Orange Hearts resided on the now defunct "Webster Music Services" label and were distributed by Important Records. They released a full length album and four singles, which received critical acclaim in the local Arts Press. They performed on various cable TV shows and live throughout the Tri-State area regularly.
Randall has continued to study guitar with the top names in all
genres...and has developed into an "A list" guitar player in the
Jacksonville area...over the last few years he has studied jazz
with international jazz/rock fusion icon Larry Coryell, studied locally
with top jazzers Barry Greene (UNF), Gary Starling (Jacksonville
University), and John Schaefer. He has traveled to Ohio to study
acoustic fingerstyle directly with Jorma Kaukonen, a member of the Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame, former member of Jefferson Airplane and still
touring with Hot Tuna. In August 2009 he traveled to Nashville and took
a series of chicken-picken lessons from Nashville top session guitarist,
Johnny Hiland. |
